Welcome friends of Racing
I just want to give you an early season update as to how everything has been going. I will say this, its not going fast enough. Two of our races have already been canceled due to weather conditions. We have managed to squeeze in some practice laps at the 99 Speedway in between raindrops.
In our preseason testing I have learned a lot about the racecar. We have also had to deal with some issues as well. Our first time in the car the motor developed a high-speed miss, after determining it was the carburetors, the team leader Dave Clement, decided to swap the carbs with the #55 car. After the change the car ran smooth and fast, in fact it ran so strong I used up what was left of my tires in the final practice session and spun the car out twice.
We've decided to put on another set of used tires for practice this Saturday, provided Mother Nature doesnt get involved, and save the new set for the up-coming race in Roseville, CA. on April 15.
Thanks to Alan Yordy Dry Cleaning and Laundry, Every Detail Auto Specialists and Spray-on Bed liners for the generous sponsorships this year. I would also like to mention the MUFFLER MAN who will be with us again this year. These folks are great to work with and if you have need of there services go see them, tell them Duct tape sent you.
We are planning several
car shows on the weekends we dont race, The # 3 Chevy the #09 Chevy and the #55 Ford
and maybe the #8 Chevy will take part in the Linden Cherry Festival and parade on May
20th, as well as the new location for The Need For Speed die cast store in Lodi, date is
pending.
This is a regular update
by yours truly Hope to see you at the track.
